Bodybyvi Healthy Fast Food idea

So just because you are on a diet, doesn't mean you have to spend ages getting food ready, or have to calorie count, or watch how many carbs, proteins, salt and sugar you are about to put into your body.

I guess that is the point with the Vi Shakes, it is great full of essential vitamins, tri sorb protein, has the right amount of carbs and yada yada yada....

I have fun in the mornings, as there is just soo many different ideas and flavours to mix my vishake with. Check me out on Vine  where I share some vishakes with you.

I find the shakes filling, and I dont crave carbs or mid morning snacks.  It has helped me lose 27lbs in my first 90 day challenge, and there are lots more results available for you to view here : #viresults

How Not To Plateau - Stepping Up The Pace

Making the decision to lose weight is a big step.Taking action is an even bigger step to take.

Normally people have reasons for losing weight, this could be medical, or it could be emotional, or it could be other reasons.

Whatever that reason is, you need to ensure that your why and your reason is strong in order to help you prepare for your journey ahead.

What most people seem to forget all too easily is that it takes time to put weight on and even a longer time maybe to take weight off. However if it is done in the correct way will ensure that it stays off and easy to maintain.

It may be too much to expect pounds to fall off each week, instead what we should be looking at are the inches and how fit and well  you feel.

Changing a diet can take a number of weeks or months for you to settle in to a routine, and for your body to settle into the routine.

Really important point here please reread the paragraph above!

When we change the way in which we eat whether this is short term or long term, initially weight will start to come off. Drinking lots of water and including exercise will also expedite your weight loss.

There does however come a time when the body will reach a plateau. This doesn't mean to say that your diet has stopped working. Which is the excuse or reason most people take to stop doing what they're doing. Instead, look at increasing your exercise and decreasing your calorie count.

Why?

Well, your body as it loses weight will need less calories and more exercise therefore this is something that we have to continually adjust when losing weight.

People seem to forget when weight loss is occurring you have to reduce the amount of calories that you are actually taking into the body.

When you are of a larger size you actually need more calories to operate bodily functions such as digestion, breathing, the normal bodily functions of your organs working all need energy.  As you reduce in size you need less energy but you also need less food, and sometimes it is not something we think about to reduce.

The Body by Vi Boost Kit can help to keep you on track with two shakes a day and healthy high protein snacks for those of you with a sweet tooth.  You don't have to worry about what is in your shake or how much calories you are ingesting, that is what is so good about the 90 day challenge.

Having support and accountability is also important when losing weight or gaining weight.  It is all too easy to give up, but when you have a buddy you have to remain accountable.  The challenge works because you can do this with your friends, and the great thing is by doing it with your friends in fact just 3 of them, you will get your kit for FREE, and they can too.

Top Diet Tips To Getting A Flatter Belly

Hi Colette here, now we all want to lose the flab around our stomach, after all this is the most dangerous type of flab to have.

Let's face it most diets don't actually work properly and it's hard work, giving up the foods that you love and restricting your portion sizes.

If you have 20lbs or more to lose then these tips will really help you get a flat stomach. The key, is to ensure you drink lots of water.

Now most dieticians and nutritionist tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So what I am about to tell you goes against all that advice. It is not something that you should do long term but it is something that will help kickstart your fat loss.

Now I guess I've got your attention!

Calorie counting, balanced diet, reduced low-fat, carbs, high protein diets are very restrictive. They are not easy to follow, and I'm not sustainable for long periods of time it has been shown.
Your body is a really clever piece of technology, and actually calculate how much calories and movement you are doing a daily basis, and will adjust your fat loss accordingly in order to preserve energy.

So sometimes it appears that you even though you are on a diet  you're not actually losing weight, which can be so frustrating for some especially if you are following your diet plans to a T.

So, we are looking at kick starting for 5 days only  your weightloss with intermittent fasting.

Intermittent fasting has shown to help kickstart your fat loss, and speed up your metabolism. Your Anti age hormones also seems to kick in. The body goes into repair mode much quicker when we fast.

A recent scientific study has shown that fasting helps to reduce cholesterol and to reduce ageing and increase repairs of cells that normally naturally die on a daily basis in the natural event of our body ageing.

I'm not asking you to fast for the whole day here, more like more than 12 hours. You see after you wake up after having eight hours sleep, Instead of having breakfast I'm asking you to skip breakfast and just have lunch instead starting at 12pm.

Have a nice protein shake, In fact my shake this lunchtime  was a frozen blueberry shake, made with body by vi shake mix.

Then three hours later around 3 PM I had my second protein shake

You can find more vi shake recipes here www.recipe.vi.com

For my evening meal, at 6 PM, I had a mainly protein based meal with lots of fibre and vegetables.

I guarantee if you follow this one day diet plan for at least three out of your seven days per week you'll start to see a difference in your weight loss.

However, it is really important to drink lots of water, If you are not used to fasting, you may experience some tiredness and headaches. If you have a medical condition
You will need to inform your GP before starting such a diet.

I hope you liked this little time to check the time sharing with you, if you find it useful and want to tell your friends about it please feel free to use the share button below

Why Weighing Yourself Is Not A Good Idea When Losing Weight

What!  Did you just read that correctly?  Yes, I said it weighing yourself not only brings you undue stress when you see that the scales have not moved since you started your program (all of two days ago… lol!) or they have moved, but the wrong way up instead of down.  Not only does this send out negative vibes to you and your psychi, but also can sabotage your diet program.

The scales are not a true indication of weight loss by any means.  More accurately would be to measure yourself on a more regular basis, because if you are losing inches then the  program is working for you. If you have been on the program for a while and then see that your weight has increased rather than decrease, then look into why this may be. Are you losing inches in the process? Have you started a weight training workout recently?  Remember that muscle is heavier than fat, and if you have started to work out, or go to the gym, then you may be putting on muscles which is a good thing, as muscle burns calories and will eventually burn fat!

Shaping up is really the key to weight loss and if you recognise the fact that your skirts and blouses are a little looser, and the waist line in your trousers seems to not look so tight, then your onto a winning streak.

Complacency however , does not have a place here.  Remember inch loss is the first part of any weight management campaign, because after inch lose the weight loss will inevitably happen.

Another thing to recognise is the fact that people who have three or more stone to lose will quickly shed weight at the beginning of any program, this is usually due to water retention and not as many would hope that the diet program is a successful one.  Any diet will work if followed, but what makes the difference is how sustainable is that diet going forward on a long term basis.

Make sure you are drinking lots of water, as water is key to helping you break down fat and improving the circulation and metabolism.  Increase your fibre content if you find you are not losing fat.  SO there you have it, do not keep jumping on the scales ever two days.  If you have to and can’t resist then make it every two weeks.

Diet Tips To Aid Your Weightloss

  • Eat Slowly and enjoy your food. Do not skip meals or shakes! Skipping meals can result in headaches or binge eating.

  • Drink at least 8 glasses (64 ounces) of plain, fresh water daily. This is in addition to other liquids you drink which may include low calorie beverages like herbal teas, decaffeinated coffee or diet sodas. Not drinking enough fluid can lead to dehydration, a common cause of headaches. Keep in mind that alcoholic beverages and fruit juices are high in calories and if used in excess can sabotage your weight loss effort.

  • Keep high-calorie sweets and desserts (like cake, cookies, ice cream, and dried fruits) as well as fried and fatty foods out of the house. Also avoid products made with white flour such as white bread, rice and pasta even low-fat or non-fat cookies.

  • Eat plenty of high-fiber foods including a minimum of 2 cups of garden salad daily along with plenty of dark green and yellow vegetables. Snack on fresh vegetable sticks. Also include 1-2 pieces of fresh fruit daily as snacks. Fiber promotes a natural, healthy colon.

  • For your main meal, starchy servings should include whole grain, complex carbohydrates such as whole-grain breads and pasta, brown rice, corn, potatoes, beans and lentils.

  • Season your foods with herbs, garlic, pepper, vinegar or lemon rather than salt. Avoid high-sodium soups, frozen entrees and vegetable juices.

  • Weigh and take measurements only one time per week. Body weight can fluctuate on a daily basis, so frequent weighing and measuring can lead to unwarranted frustration.

  • Use the Weight Management Programs to lose weight and to maintain your desired weight. Refer to this post if you find yourself gaining back weight or returning to poor eating habits, or contact Colette on the email below. :)
