Signs That Your Losing Weight

As a nutritionist I have known customers who have lost a little bit of weight, then seem to put weight on.

Why is this?

There are a number of reasons. One being that if you lose body fat you will see the weight going down, and as you gain lean muscle you'll see your way to go up.

Lean muscle actually burns more fat so therefore in the long run you will see inches come off.

So don't be alarmed

Read the following post below

The following post is taken from The Visalus blog site, and explains it very well some signs that you're losing weight.

There are obvious signs that you’re losing weight and there are some more subtle signs that your body is on its’ way to becoming what you’ve been working so hard for.

Here are a few signs that you’re on the right track to accomplishing your weight loss goals:

Man Jogging on Open RoadIncreased Energy

When you’re eating healthy and consuming foods that are properly fueling your body you’re likely to notice a boost in energy that you probably didn’t have before. It might be easier to wake up in the morning or you could just have extra energy in day-to-day tasks that you previously didn’t have. This is a perfect example of how you know you’re on your way to a healthier life, even if the scale doesn’t reflect it.

Improved Mood

When you look good you often feel good. That may seem extremely basic, but it it’s true. Waking up in the morning and seeing yourself looking better than the day before is a truly incredible feeling- yes, you may not say it day to day, but you can likely see it week to week. This increased confidence in your appearance will have a great effect on your overall mood.

Changing Body StructureChanging Body Shape

This one is a bit obvious, but weight loss doesn’t always occur in the areas you would think it does. While fat is likely to come off the stomach, thighs and buttocks initially, keep track- even measurements- so you can see how your overall body is changing. Remember, you may want to lose weight specifically in the waist area but with that weight loss you’re likely to also so weight loss in other areas. In addition, take a look at your old clothes and see how they fit… you might be surprised with what you find out!

Increased Sex Drive

Losing weight improves your blood circulation and stamina, which can directly have an affect on your libido as the pounds start to come off. That, paired with additional self-confidence, is likely to increase your overall sex drive.

As you continue on your journey to weight loss, make sure to look past the scale and see all the ways that The Challenge is improving your life.
