Why Chilli’s Can Help You To Lose Weight

Benefits:
Today we are going to look at Chilli’s, in the main associated with being hot, and burning our tongues or roofs of our mouth.  There are a range of chilli peppers ranging from degrees of ‘hotness’ and flavour to being sweet and subtle.  It is well known that the ‘seeds’ inside chilli’s are the hottest part of the pepper, so if you just want flavour, take out the seeds before cooking.  Please remember to wash your hands thoroughly and not to touch your eyes or your mouth or private parts after handling chilli as this can bring about serious consequences.

There are a number of benefits to chilli’s, such as they stimulate circulation and discourage against blood clots, the also aid digestion and may also relieve pain, they are good for coughs and they speed up your metabolism as eating chillies makes the body heat up slightly which improves your metabolism and aids weight loss.

Therapeutic Qualities:
Chilli’s also have therapeutic qualities, they can increase your gastric acid which ensures there is enough acid to kill most bacteria in food and enable efficient digestion.

Have you noticed that when you hit a really hot chilli your eyes water and your nose runs?  This increases the bodies mucus flow and can help to clear congestion in the airways helping coughs and colds.

Cautions:
It has been known that the heavy use of chillies may increase the risk of stomach cancer.  Also, people with ulcers are not able to eat hot chillies as this aggravates the situation.
